Abusive Men

The one insult no man can endure is that he has never known hardship or adversity. "I have overcome more than anyone could dream," - tell that to a man, and they will feel small and inadequate. In order for them to overcome this insecurity, they will criticize your scars and make you feel worse for having them. They will take all the hard work you've put in to yourself, they will take all your grit and savvy, and convince you that they are your weaknesses. After all, your experiences are proof of your strength. They will threaten you, give you an ultimatum. See threats are the worst kind of emotional abuse. Because threats are posed only to see how much power one can hold and you don’t know if that threat will turn into a promise, especially if you don’t conform. An abusive man compulsively wonders how much control can I exert over her being today? As his curiosity lingers, a woman's natural instinct is to reify that curiosity, giving it form and personality. Curiosity now exists in an elusive but powerful way. It is here that a man's curiosity for how much pain a woman can endure, how much he can control her, takes the regal place of second nature. For a man who has been through nothing but childish heartbreak, who's only story of courage is his fathers story, all he has is that he identifies himself as a man. Because he is a man, he has to protect his identity - his strength. All of his outward actions and principles are driven by the need to protect an identity that is created by external forces, and it is fickle. Men who have never had the opportunity to prove their strength, are the most insecure men on Earth. And the men who have opportunities to prove their strong character and runaway? Well, they are impotent cowards. These men, their biggest fear is a strong woman. In fact, they have manifested hatred for strong women. It is for this reason that if a cowardly man, and a strong woman come together, he eventually ends up with his hands around her neck, or putting a pillow over her face until she can't breathe. It is in this moment, that he exposes his deepest secret; the muscles in his arms, shoulders, and lower back are his only source of strength.
