Excerpt 3 ' Too Late'

I had become a master of blocking things out. Things that shouldn’t be blocked out. But that’s how my life was then. I either took things in or I blocked them out completely and never did I question my natural intuition. I had this keen sense of things, things most people don’t pick up on. And I was usually right about them, but I never listened to myself in the moment, and when I started to, it usually was too late.
